Bayern Munich’s star striker Harry Kane blamed their ‘wasteful’ finishing in both legs of the Champions League semi-final tie against Paris Saint-Germain for their ouster from the competition on Wednesday.
“Congratulations to PSG. They took their chances in both games, and that’s why we’re no longer in the competition. I think over the two games, we had enough opportunities to achieve a different result, but it didn’t work out. From our point of view, we were a bit wasteful in the attacking third, even though we showed a lot of good football in midfield. But the final cross, the final pass, the final shot, just didn’t work out,” lamented the Englishman.
