Lausanne (Switzerland): American singer-songwriter Alicia Keys will perform during the opening ceremony at next month&rsquo;s Champions League final in Milan, UEFA announced yesterday.

Keys, who has sold over 50 million albums worldwide, will feature as part of a revamped ceremony prior to the game on Saturday May 28.
&ldquo;I&rsquo;m extremely excited to share my new music at the UEFA Champions League final, an event that is celebrated in every corner of the world,&rdquo; said Keys.
&ldquo;This is going to be a powerful moment in history and one that represents the spirit of all the similarities we share no matter where we live and who we are.
&ldquo;I&rsquo;m honoured to be a special part of such a beloved experience.&rdquo;
This year&rsquo;s Champions League is currently at the semi-final stage with English club Manchester City and Spanish outfit Real Madrid drawing 0-0 in the first leg on Tuesday, Spaniards Atletico Madrid and Germany&rsquo;s Bayern Munich are the other semi-finalists.
