Defending champions Arya Vidya Mandir (Juhu) produced a brilliant combined performance to script a convincing 6-0 win against an inexperienced St Lawrence (Borivli) in the Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA)-organised girls' U-16 Div I inter-school football tournament at Azad Maidan yesterday.
Sai Sankhe and Kushi Khan struck a brace each in the second half, while Diya Parikh and Vania Nagpal got the first two goals in the opening session to complete the big win. Sai, 13, who spearheads the attack for the Juhu outfit, has scored eight goals in three matches.
