St Joseph’s (Umerkhadi) beat Holy Family (Andheri) ‘A’ 4-1 in a first-round match of the 45th Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana rink football tournament at the WCG’s tennis courts on Tuesday.
Austin Fernandes and Dixit Bhoj netted a brace each for St Joseph’s while Rohan Kanojia scored for Holy Family. In another match, Divine Mercy (Bhayandar) beat St Blaise (Amboli) ‘C’ by the odd goal in three. Pranav Nambiar scored both goals for Divine Mercy while Anas Baig scored for St Blaise.
