Paris: Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc remains confident top scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic will play again this season despite picking up a thigh injury during Wednesday&rsquo;s 3-1 Champions League victory over Chelsea.

The Sweden captain, who has scored a club record 40 goals in all competitions this season, came off midway through the second half of their quarter-final, first-leg win clutching the back of his right thigh and has been undergoing tests to determine the extent of the problem. &ldquo;He will be back and he will play again for PSG this season,&rdquo; said Blanc.
Blanc said he didn&rsquo;t know whether the injury was a tear or a strain, but it seems that Ibrahimovic, who leads the Ligue 1 scoring charts with 25 goals, is definitely ruled out of the second leg at Stamford Bridge on next Tuesday and potentially an eventual semi-final, as well as the French League Cup final against Lyon on April 19.
The Ligue 1 season is due to end on the weekend of May 17-18, while the Champions League final will be played in Lisbon on May 24.
&ldquo;I spoke to the doctor yesterday (Thursday). With a muscle injury like that you can&rsquo;t always tell precisely how long someone will be out. You need to see how it responds,&rdquo; continued Blanc.&nbsp;&ldquo;We&rsquo;ll see in the next few days but the medical staff will do a good job of looking after it.&rdquo;
