A dejected Alexander Zverev labelled his straight sets exit to Denis Shapovalov on Sunday as one of the worst of his career where everything went wrong. The World No.3 was dumped out of the Australian Open by Canada’s 14th seed 6-3, 7-6, 6-3 in 2hr 21min.

When asked what went wrong, Zverev said: “Everything. Maybe since Wimbledon, one of the worst matches I have played. I give credit to Denis. It’s incredible he’s in the quarters. I think he deserves it. But today, it was just awful from my side.”
