<p>David Beckham's Los Angeles Galaxy defeated Chivas USA 1-0 on Sunday to win their Major League Soccer Western Conference semi-final series, 3-2 on aggregate.</p>
<p><br />American Landon Donovan scored on a penalty kick in the 73rd minute for the only goal of the game.

<p><br />Beckham helped make the play possible with a pass to Donovan. Donovan then crossed the ball to attacker Mike Magee who was hauled down, earning a penalty kick from ref Ricardo Salazar.</p>
<p><br />Donovan took the kick and beat Chivas netminder Zach Thornton.</p>
<p><br />The Galaxy will host the Houston Dynamo, who beat Seattle Sounders FC earlier Sunday, in the Western Conference final next week.<br /></p>
