Usain Bolt, the legendary Jamaican sprinter and eight-time Olympic gold medalist, is set to visit India once again, with stops planned in Delhi and Mumbai from September 26 to 28. This marks Bolt’s second trip to the country, nearly a decade after his maiden visit in 2014.

Widely regarded as the fastest man in history, Bolt continues to captivate sports fans around the globe even after retiring from competitive athletics in 2017. His enduring popularity and deep connection with fans worldwide make his upcoming visit to India a highly anticipated event.

Speaking ahead of his return, Bolt expressed his excitement in an interview with Olympics.com: “I am excited to return to India. The energy, the people and the passion for sports here is truly unmatched. I have a lot of fans in India and am really looking forward to my visit there later this year.”

Bolt’s previous visit in 2014 saw him take part in a series of promotional events, including a memorable exhibition cricket match alongside Indian cricket star Yuvraj Singh. The two faced off in a friendly encounter at Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, where fans were treated to a lighthearted 100-metre sprint and a fun-filled cricket game between the global athletics icon and the World Cup-winning all-rounder.

This year, Bolt's visit is once again tied to promotional engagements, but with a broader public outreach. His itinerary includes several fan interaction events, cultural activities, and brand-led campaigns in both Delhi and Mumbai. A highlight of the tour will be a nationwide sprint challenge for schoolchildren, culminating in a final race held in front of the Olympic legend himself.

Throughout his career, Bolt has etched his name in the annals of sporting history. His accolades include eight Olympic gold medals and 13 World Championship podium finishes, 11 of which were gold. He holds the world records in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay, records that still stand today.

Bolt holds the world records for the 100m and 200m sprints. While his 100m record is 9.58 seconds, set in 2009, his 200m record is 19.19 seconds, also set in 2009 according to Olympics.com and Britannica. He also holds a world record as part of the Jamaican 4x100m relay team.
