The feature event of the Saturday afternoon, the Yohan Z Poonawalla Turf Club Trophy (Gr 2), has attracted only five runners, but may turn out to be the most thrilling contest of the eight-race card. All eyes, and perhaps most of the betting money, will be riding on Encino, who had stayed indoors after his victory on this track a year ago, went for summering at Bangalore where he mercilessly whipped a motley crowd of young and old sprinters by almost a street, before returning to Pune to outclass a Class II field. Though he will be strongly fancied for the feature event, the fact remains that Kavya and Social Butterfly are also quality horses who will not go down without a fight.
