In a small field that does not have a single filly in the fray, all eyes will be on Pesi Shroff-trained Jaandaar, who will be bidding for a fifth straight victory of his career in the Villoo C Poonawalla Pune Derby (Gr 1), the feature event of Sunday's eight-race card.

Jaandaar faces another unbeaten rival in Iron Mirage, from Bangalore-based trainer Prasanna Kumar's yard, who will be ridden by Akshay Kumar. There is also trainer MK Jadhav's Beast Mode in the fray who is bound to get a good ride from ace jockey Trevor Patel. Thanks to the quality of Jaandaar's turn of foot which he exhibited during both his victories on this track, Jaandaar gets my first nomination.
