Indian boxer Thokchom Nanao Singh shocked his Azerbaijani opponent Mamishzade Elvin with a 21-6 win the 48 kilogram section to move into the second round of the World Championships.

Nanao took just 15 seconds to settle down against the taller Mamishzade, who used his longer reach to bag the first point on Thursday. But Nanao moved inside the Azerbaijani boxer's guard and attacked with crisp and accurate uppercuts and straight left jabs.
