Judith Fox-Alder, younger sister of the late teenage Canadian runner Terry Fox, who is an inspiration for everyone, is overwhelmed at the response the 16th Terry Fox run, to be held in the city tomorrow, has received.

At 18, Terry ran a marathon for 143 cancer patients in 1980, despite suffering from bone cancer and having had his right leg amputated. He passed away in the following year.
&ldquo;This is my second visit to Mumbai. It was an amazing experience last time around (in 2009) to run with school kids. I was overwhelmed to see the response here, see so many people coming and supporting us in the run. It&rsquo;s just a beautiful event,&rdquo; she said.
The run is a non-competitive event where people get together to raise money in Terry&rsquo;s name. Around 40-50 schools will participate in the run this time. The race will start at 8 am from Air India building (Nariman Point), run through the Marine Drive flyover and will end at the Brabourne Stadium.
Judith said Terry would have been proud to see so many people coming together and raising funds to cure cancer. &ldquo;I always believe he is here with us always. He would be so proud of everybody.
&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t think he would have imagined how far-reaching his legacy has become. His ultimate goal was always to cure cancer,&rdquo; she said.&nbsp;All the funds collected are donated to Tata Memorial Hospital for cancer research.
