The Maverick AUG 4, 8.45 PM: IF Kishore Kumar was alive, he would have turned 87 on August 4. Even 29 years after Kishore Kumar&rsquo;s death,generations of young musicians and singers continue to be inspired by his work. To pay tribute to the genius, a local organisation will hold a musical at Dinanath Mangeshkar Natya Griha Hall in Vile Parle on August 4. Sujeet Kumar, who is popularly known as junior Kishore Kumar and coincidentally even looks like the legend, will belt out popular Kishore songs. Kumar, who holds these tribute nights for Kishoreda every year will be playing with a host of other musicians in this three-hour tribute show. Written originally by American playwright John Pielmeier in 1982, the play is said to be based on a true story. A young nun, Sister Agnes, is accused of killing her newborn child.
