Gaurav Kapur and Shibani Dandekar's chat show, Miss Field, is one that says a cricketer's wife is much more than the lady clapping in the stands

The first episode of Miss Field sees Shibani Dandekar talking to Aesha Dhawan, cricketer Shikhar Dhawan's wife. Dandekar recalls the first time she met Aesha, when she was following Hyderabad during an T20 season she was hosting. "We were sitting watching the match, and Shikhar got out, and she was just like 'oh, he is going to get it tonight'.
She is not the 'oooh, baby, it will be alright' kind of wife. She is an Australian, divorced mother of two, who married a Delhi boy. And that's what she says, 'I am who I am, and you can take it or leave it'. She is a proud housewife, who talks about how she only sees him when they are on tour, as she lives in Australia and he is here in India. She also talks about kicking his a** when he doesn't do well," says the 38-year-old anchor. It's that kind of insight that Dandekar and Gaurav Kapur, the producer and man behind the show, wanted to give the audience. Both have been regulars on cricket fields, as hosts during world cups or T20 matches, and hence, have the access one requires to envision such a show.
