There is a very specific kind of man Kunal Khemu seems to enjoy putting on screen. He is usually well-meaning, slightly clueless, occasionally horny, frequently surrounded by people more competent than him, and, more importantly, capable of making a perfectly manageable situation considerably worse.

In Madgaon Express, it was three friends whose Goa holiday went spectacularly off the rails. In Vibe, his second directorial outing, it is Hardik, a man who finds himself in the middle of a spy mission despite being, as Khemu describes him, someone who cannot exactly turn into an action hero on his own.
