ByteDance-Tencent legal battle on as China toughens antitrust rules

The Beijing Intellectual Property Court has accepted the case filed by Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok owned by ByteDance, against the Internet giant Tencent over alleged monopolistic behaviour.
The case comes amid strengthening of rules by China to curb dominance of corporations like Alibaba Group and Tencent.
