If he likes you, he may need time to express it, and it’s always possible that he doesn’t have any interest beyond a friendship

I have a tendency to text this guy whenever I am drunk, but never when sober. I don’t know if this means I have feelings for him that I am not being honest about. He’s a nice person and he never says anything about why I don’t message him regularly, but I sometimes feel guilty about my actions and think about asking him out. I don’t know if this is a good idea because he has never given any indication of having romantic feelings for me, but there must be a reason why I trust him when I am so vulnerable. What should I do?
Trusting someone isn’t the same as having romantic feelings for them, and it’s possible that you both have the potential to build a great, solid friendship. If you don’t know how you feel, the easiest way to find out is by spending time with this person, preferably when you’re sober. Ask yourself questions about what you like, why you feel comfortable speaking with him, and how he makes you feel. Start by trying to be a better friend, then see how that progresses. If he likes you, he may need time to express it, and it’s always possible that he doesn’t have any interest beyond a friendship.
My girlfriend only sees her side of the story when we have an argument, and it always feels as if there’s an unspoken rule that I have to be the bigger person and accept that I did something wrong. It’s unfair and it needs to change if our relationship is to work. How do I tell her to change this approach?
If you feel as if something is unfair, and can’t express that, your relationship isn’t one of mutual respect and it needs to be called out every single time. If she can’t accept that, there is no future here because you will only feel resentment after a point. Tell her that fixing this is on both of you if you want to build something together.
