How do I navigate it without upsetting either of them?

My boyfriend puts his best friend above me all the time and it bothers me. They have been friends since school and I know he has no romantic feelings for her, but she has a sense of superiority that makes me feel as if I am being judged. It’s as if she has power over me and my relationship and that she can end it if she asks my boyfriend to. I feel as if I have to make her happy all the time and I am on edge because of this. I don’t know what to say to him about this because he is extremely touchy about the subject. How do I navigate it without upsetting either of them?
They may have a great friendship but your relationship with this person is separate and sacrosanct. If the boundaries aren’t maintained to your satisfaction, you have every right to talk about it even if it upsets your boyfriend. If he doesn’t take what you’re saying seriously enough to do something about it, this isn’t a relationship built on mutual respect. Call it out whenever you feel a certain way because you have to establish your right to feel something. If nothing changes, use that information to evaluate whether there is equality in the relationship and if you are okay with making more compromises.
I haven’t had a boyfriend in a long time and feel really depressed about it but also don’t know what to do. My friends are all dating so I often feel alone, especially on weekends. How do I change this situation? I am tired of dating without it ever leading to anything serious.
Try taking a step back and look at what you want from a relationship. Sometimes, peer pressure or isolation can convince you that you need something even if you don’t. Be kind to yourself, keep meeting people without any expectations, and you may surprise yourself when the pressure is off. Sometimes, just getting to know someone better can lead to something more.
