Waiting is a risk though, so you will have to do that with your eyes open to all possibilities.

I regret splitting up with someone who says he isn’t into me anymore. I have reached out a few times to explain why I ended the relationship, and we also met for dinner, but he wasn’t convinced. He says it isn’t just about not being able to trust me anymore; it’s also a lack of interest in giving me another chance. I don’t know how I can convince him to take this risk and I understand where he’s coming from, but I also know I made a huge mistake in letting him go. How can I fix this?
Acknowledging that you made a mistake doesn’t change anything if your ex doesn’t want to take a chance on trying this again. You have stated your case and been clear about your feelings as well as the circumstances surrounding this but accepting what you have to say is his prerogative. If he doesn’t want to try again, there’s nothing you can do. Accept his decision and move on or hope that time will compel him to change his mind. Waiting is a risk though, so you will have to do that with your eyes open to all possibilities.

A few weeks ago, I went on a date with a friend. We had a great time and promised to meet again soon. I texted her the next morning asking if we should meet for dinner, but she hasn’t responded. It’s been two weeks and I think she has changed her mind. I don’t know what I did wrong. Should I keep texting?
You can send her one more message asking if she would like to meet but, if there is no response, this is simply a case of ghosting for reasons that may never be revealed. She must have changed her mind for whatever reason, and there’s no point speculating if you did something wrong because you won’t have the answers. It may be better to write this off as a great date that didn’t go anywhere.
