A video showed tents at the shoot location. The team members were observed preparing the location. Salman was seen sitting in his car. Salman was photographed wearing an olive green T-shirt, cargo pants, and sneakers. He also chose dark shades.

Salman recently announced on social media that he has begun shooting for the project. The actor was shown standing behind a clapperboard with the film's title inscribed on it. "Battle Of Galwan," said the caption.

The film, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, is based on India and China's 2020 confrontation in the Galwan Valley. In an earlier interview with PTI, the actor described the film as "physically demanding". "It's physically difficult. Every year, month, and day it becomes more difficult. I need to devote more time (to training). I used to train in one or two weeks; now I'm running, kicking, punching, and all that. "This film demands it," he had stated.

"For instance, in Sikandar, the action was different, the character was different. But this is physically difficult. Besides, shooting in Ladakh, in high altitude and in cold water (is another challenge)."

Salman last appeared in Sikandar, which was released in March. The film was directed by AR Murugadoss. Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Smita Patil, and Anjini Dhawan appeared in the film as well. Salman currently hosts the reality show Bigg Boss 19, which debuted on JioHotstar on August 24.
