After making a cameo with Shahid Kapoor in âTeri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' (2024), Janhvi Kapoor is set to share the screen with him in a possible upcoming film. Buzz around Shahid's collaboration with director Amit Sharma has intensified, with a relationship comedy reportedly in the works. Industry sources indicate that Janhvi is in advanced negotiations to play the female lead, which would mark their first full-fledged pairing. The film is said to explore a light-hearted and relatable romantic journey. If all goes as planned, the project is likely to begin filming in October, targeting a 2027 theatrical release.

Actor Sanjay Dutt has hinted at revisiting his cult classic, Vaastav: The Reality (1999), which was written and directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. Reports suggest that Sanjay is looking to acquire its rights. A source said, "Sanju sir is very close to Vaastav. He is particularly keen to see how best to revisit this film." Sanjay too recently confirmed the development at an event, where he said, "We are working on Vaastav 2."
âKhalnayak' (1993) is officially getting a sequel, with Sanjay Dutt announcing the project recently. The actor confirmed that work has begun on the follow-up to the cult classic, sparking excitement among fans eager to see the return of the iconic anti-hero.
As Riddhima Kapoor Sahni is set to make her feature film debut at 45 with Daadi Ki Shaadi, her mother Neetu Kapoor admitted she was initially taken aback by the idea. "When I got a call asking if Riddhima would do this film, I laughed loudly and said, âRiddhima? Movies? No, no.' Then I put the phone down and thought - âWhy not?'" Actor-filmmaker Riteish Deshmukh says his decade-long journey with Raja Shivaji proved "a blessing in disguise". The historical epic, released on May 1, traces the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. "Had it started in 2016, this would not be the film, it would be a different film, a different star cast. We just thought why not make it slightly bigger and more ambitious," he said in an interview with PTI. He added, "I feel relieved. I'm truly humbled." So far, the historical action drama has reportedly grossed R52.68 crore globally.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danve has demanded that âRaja Shivaji' be made tax-free in Maharashtra so as to make it accessible to a larger audience. Danve made the demand in a letter written to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
