Rajinikanth and Shah Rukh Khan
In April mid-day had reported that fans awaiting a collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Rajinikanth may have to wait longer, as the former has reportedly declined a cameo in âJailer 2'. Reason? SRK could not come on board due to his packed schedule and ongoing commitments to âKing' (Stars not aligning, April 10). Fresh reports now suggest the team has approached Hrithik Roshan for the role. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the sequel is eyeing a September 2026 release and also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Vidya Balan, SJ Suryah and Suraj Venjaramoodu.
Hrithik Roshan and Rajinikanth previously shared screen space in âBhagwaan Dada' (1986), where Hrithik appeared as a child actor. Recalling the experience, Hrithik had said Rajinikanth was "so gentle and giving" on set, adding, "Every single time I made a mistake, Rajni sir took the blame so that I, as a child, wouldn't feel conscious."
Actor Ranbir Kapoor has opened up about how portraying Lord Rama in Ramayana transformed him personally and spiritually. Calling the film "life-defining", Ranbir shared that it changed his "value system" and his understanding of "loss, sacrifice, and dharma". Reflecting on the character, he said, "What makes Rama truly sacred is how deeply human he is." The actor also shared that becoming a father to Raha and working on Ramayana felt "beautifully connected". The first part of Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is slated for a Diwali 2026 release, on October 30.
Actor Arjun Rampal is set to take his DJ avatar global with The Rampage Tour across the US and Canada. The tour begins in Atlanta on May 28 and will travel through cities including San Francisco, Houston, New York, Toronto, and Los Angeles. Sharing the announcement on Instagram, Arjun wrote, "Get ready for electrifying music, nonstop vibes, and moments that will stay with you long after the lights go down."
