Have you heard? Shah Rukh Khan opts out of Jailer 2; Hrithik Roshan now in talks

Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly declined a cameo in Jailer 2 due to scheduling conflicts with his film King. The production team has subsequently approached Hrithik Roshan for the role in the Nelson Dilipkumar-directed sequel, which aims for a September 2026 release

In April mid-day had reported that fans awaiting a collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Rajinikanth may have to wait longer, as the former has reportedly declined a cameo in ‘Jailer 2’. Reason? SRK could not come on board due to his packed schedule and ongoing commitments to ‘King’ (Stars not aligning, April 10). Fresh reports now suggest the team has approached Hrithik Roshan for the role. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the sequel is eyeing a September 2026 release and also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Vidya Balan, SJ Suryah and Suraj Venjaramoodu.
