The trailer of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana has sparked several discussions among fans online. This includes a fresh mystery around who portrays Lord Vishnu in this film. The brief yet grand appearance of the deity in the 4-minute-long trailer has sparked curiosity among fans, and many are guessing who the actor could be. Notably, while Ranbir Kapoor is already confirmed to play Lord Ram and Parashurama in the film, the brief look of Vishnu in the trailer has left social media users divided.

Who is Lord Vishnu in Ramayana trailer?

The brief scene shows Lord Vishnu in a grand and divine representation in a cosmic setting, after Ravana's introduction, suggesting how the deity has always taken a form to save the world.

As soon as the trailer was released, discussions began online, with some suggesting that the actor appearing as Lord Vishnu could be Saurabh Raaj Jain. For the unversed, Saurabh is widely recognised for his portrayal of Lord Krishna in the television series Mahabharat. His earlier famous association with a mythological character led to several fans drawing a visual comparison between him and the character seen in the Ramayana trailer.

Meanwhile, another section of social media users believes the actor could be Mahesh Babu. Notably, Mahesh Babu is currently working on SS Rajamouli's Varanasi, which also draws from Indian mythology. The film also features the actor as Lord Rama in a scene believed to be inspired by the Ramayana.

Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Vishnu?

Another theory suggests that Ranbir Kapoor, who plays the lead role of Lord Rama, could be playing Vishnu as well. The actor has previously confirmed that he plays multiple roles in the film, including that of Lord Ram and Parashurama.

Given that both his roles are avatars of Vishnu, fans are speculating that the makers may have cast Ranbir as Vishnu as well to connect the different avatars visually. However, the brief shot does not give any clear answer on who the actor is. The visual effects used to show the divine form also make the face unrecognisable. All these have added to making the mystery even more fascinating for viewers, who have been closely examining every frame ever since the trailer released.
