Yami Gautam has revealed that there was a time when she was ready to walk away from Bollywood, having accepted that her journey in the industry might be over. The actor shared that before the success of Uri: The Surgical Strike, she had made peace with leaving films and returning to her home state of Himachal Pradesh.

Reflecting on the difficult phase in her career, Yami said she had reached a point where she no longer wanted to keep chasing opportunities if things did not improve. She admitted that despite making a successful debut with Vicky Donor, sustaining a career in the film industry proved far more challenging than she had imagined.
