Irritated by Karan Johar's hosting at a recent award show, actor Ranbir Kapoor channeled his inner 'Animal'. The actor recently attended the Filmfare Awards in Gujarat. A video from the award ceremony hosted by Karan Johar and Ayushmann Khurrana is now going viral. In the video, Ranbir is seen getting annoyed at Karan after he constantly takes his name.

In the video, Karan appeared to be asking Ranbir for help. "Ranbir hi kar sakta hai, Ranbir hi karega, Ranbir ko hi karna chahiye, Ranbir must help us," A visibly irritated Ranbir cuts him off and went on to mouth his viral dialogue from 'Animal'. "Sunayi de raha hai, behra nahi hoon main (I can listen, I am not deaf)." said Ranbir yelling. The reaction left Karan and Ayushmann in shock. However, netizens feel it is a part of the show.

At the Filmfare awards held last month, Ranbir Kapoor won the Best Actor award for Animal. He played the role of a violent young man who crosses all boundaries to seek his father's validation. While accepting the award, he remembered his father, late Rishi Kapoor during his acceptance speech. "I'd like to dedicate this award to is Mr Rishi Kapoor - Papa Meri Jaan. Everyday I think of you, I remember you. And everything I feel for you…the love, the affection I try to channelise it through this part and I hope you are up there in peace and resting," he said. Alia Bhatt also bagged the Best Actress award for 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani' at the ceremony.

Ranbir Kapoor on 'Animal' controversy:

The movie, directed and written by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is one of the most discussed movies for its subject which was labeled misogynistic and problematic by many, sparking a nationwide debate. After the success of the film, Ranbir addressed the entire debate over misogyny and problematic bits. The actor, while talking about 'Animal,' said that the conversation that kick-started is very healthy and great because cinema starts such conversations.

During a conversation with Anubhav Singh Bassi for Netflix India, Ranbir Kapoor said, "There is a very healthy conversation that has started about toxic masculinity also, which is a great thing because cinema, at least, it starts a conversation. If something is wrong, if you don't show that it is wrong, and unless conversation starts in the society, we will never realise it."
