On World Environment Day, Bhumi Pednekkar, who has constantly championed nature conservation, is urging people to move beyond words and focus on actions. To her, today is a reminder that we are way past the luxury of waiting for others to implement change. "This summer has shown us how extreme the weather is becoming. The climate crisis is no longer something we read about in reports. It's happening around us," she asserted.

According to the actor, women can play a crucial role in shaping a sustainable future. Earlier this week, Pednekkar launched the Pink E-rickshaw Support Initiative, which provided employment to 1000 female drivers in the city. She further batted for women to take charge, saying, "As women, we are often the decision-makers within our homes. The decisions we make every day matter - be it saving water, reducing waste, or being more aware of consumption."
