While Ajith is one of Tamil cinema's biggest stars, racing has remained a significant part of his life. The documentary explores his journey as a professional racer, capturing moments from racing circuits and offering insights into the discipline, determination and risks involved in the sport. The trailer features Ajith behind the wheel as well as anecdotes from his family, friends and members of his racing team.

Ajith, who has frequently spoken about his love for motorsport, describes racing as a "beautiful sport" that he loves. The documentary also highlights the demanding nature of endurance racing and the physical and mental commitment required to compete professionally.

A major highlight of the trailer is the appearance of Ajith's wife, former actor Shalini. Her presence marks a rare on-screen appearance nearly two decades after she stepped away from acting. Shalini provides a glimpse into the more personal side of Ajith, discussing his determination to pursue his dreams and his approach towards success and failure.

She also opens up about the apprehension the family experiences while watching Ajith race. However, according to her, his passion for motorsport is driven less by trophies and recognition and more by the thrill of challenging himself and pushing boundaries.

The trailer also features the couple's children, Anoushka and Aadvik. Anoushka speaks about the values she has learnt from her father, while Aadvik shares his experience of sitting inside Ajith's racing car. His excitement at watching his father handle the powerful machine adds an emotional touch to the documentary.

Gladiators also features members of Ajith's racing team and prominent figures from the motorsport world, including former Formula One driver Narain Karthikeyan. The documentary explores different facets of racing, with particular focus on endurance racing.

Directed by Vijay, known for films such as Deiva Thirumagal and Saivam, the documentary aims to present a side of Ajith that fans rarely see. Composer GV Prakash Kumar has also announced that the original soundtrack, titled Born to RACE, will be released soon.

With its focus on Ajith's determination, family and love for racing, Gladiators promises to showcase the superstar not just as an actor, but as a racer who continues to chase challenges beyond the world of cinema.
