At the audio launch, Rajinikanth spoke about his tryst with alcoholism. "If there was no alcohol in my life, I would have served the society. Alcoholism is the biggest mistake in life," he was quoted as saying. Recollecting an incident that happened two years ago, he said, "I once came home drunk at 2 in the night after a successful staging of a play and my brother advised me to only drink to celebrate and not make it a habit". He also said that he would have become a bigger and better star if not for alcoholism.

The actor also spoke about wanting to get rid of the superstar title in film credits. He had requested the directors to remove the title card, but they had refused to do so. Ending his speech on a powerful note, Rajinikanth addressed the negativity and criticism he often faces, stating, "There are no dogs that don't bark and no tongues that don't criticize, and then there are no places devoid of both."
