Soon after Vijay emerged victorious at the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections 2026, a number plate from his film The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) went viral on the internet for its contents, which read 'TN 07 CM 2026.' Now, Venkat Prabhu has revived one of the most discussed moments from the viral moment by presenting Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay with the iconic number plate. The gesture has instantly grabbed attention online, with fans once again revisiting the scene.
Venkat Prabhu took to X (formerly Twitter) to share photos from his meeting with Vijay. Alongside the images, the director wrote, "A history is made.. From a thought⦠to a vision⦠to this moment. Happy to have met our honourable CM TVKVijayHQ na today and present the very first manifestation of GOAT. This is only the beginning. TN07CM2026."
He gifted Vijay a framed number plate which carried the words "The First Manifestation by VP and Team," making the gesture even more symbolic for Vijay's fans. Soon, the post circulated rapidly, with fans calling it a full-circle moment connecting cinema and politics.
The âTN07 CM 2026' registration plate first caught the attention of audiences when GOAT was released in 2024. In one of the scenes in the film, a car with the now-famous number plate was driven by Vijay. Notably, at the time of the film's release, Vijay had launched his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), after which the speculation around his political future had started growing rapidly. Fans started interpreting the number plate as a symbolic reference to Vijay's long-term political plans. Clips from the film were going viral across social media platforms back then
As discussions grew, several fan pages and political observers reexamined the scene multiple times, adding that GOAT had indirectly hinted at Vijay's future political journey. However, the scene caught newfound spotlight in 2026, as Vijay took oath as the CM of Tamil Nadu.
Following the circulation of the scene recently, the director had earlier reacted to the same. After Vijay co-actor Premgi shared a meme from the scene and wrote, "Hi it's me sitting next to our CM in the car (sic)," Venkat Prabhu, reacted to it by re-sharing the post with a brief "Heehehehe" and laughing emojis.
