Archana Puran Singh Parmeet Sethi
Archana Puran Singh and the Sethi boys recently returned from an adventurous trip to Switzerland and are yet again vacationing in Dubai. In their new vlog, the family was busy discussing the trip, while they learned that they had been duped after making a reservation for an indoor skydiving experience on the first day. Aaryamann lost thousands of rupees as they used a fraudulent website to arrange their session. Given that Dubai is often considered safer than India, Archana was astounded that such a scam could be carried out there.
As soon as they reached the venue, Archana was told by the receptionist that there was no booking under their name and they had been scammed. Archana shared that they had booked tickets from a fake site and also opted for a special Ramadan discount, which wasn't even during the holy month. Archana then shared, 'We have been scammed because the website wasn't real. Did we just get scammed in Dubai?' Parmeet and the boys were shocked upon learning about the scam.
Archana then shared, 'We've already paid, and the tickets weren't cheap. Dubai mein humare paise doob gaye. I never expected this in Dubai. They have such strict rules here, people are scared to break the law. In India, we're always so careful about suspicious numbers and websites.'
Aaryamann further shared that he did find something fishy while booking the tickets, but then he mistook it for a website glitch and ignored the possibility of getting scammed. He said, 'The webpage where I purchased our tickets is nowhere to be found. Since I had reserved the medium package for four minutes, but it only lasted two minutes when I checked out, I found it suspicious. I assumed that was a bug. I'm furious.' Aary further admitted that the scammers did a great job, to which Archana stopped him from encouraging them to do such scams.
Parmeet expressed disappointment at being conned as well, adding that he had even produced a show called Hack Crime Online on online scams. "Enjoy, whoever has conned us," he said. Later, they bought new tickets and went in for the indoor adventure together.
