Ahead of the grand opening of the Swadesh flagship store at Eros in south Mumbai, Nita Ambani marked the occasion with an auspicious pooja, staying true to tradition and Indian culture.

Draped in a beautiful Madurai cotton Gharchola saree, handwoven over 10 months by artisan Rajshrundar Rajkot, Nita Ambani looked graceful and elegant.

Nita Ambani's saree was styled by renowned designer Manish Malhotra, paired with a phirozi silk kanchali blouse, detailed with antique gold embroidery reflecting an old-world charm.

In a heartfelt gesture, Nita Ambani wore a gold bajubandh (armlet) that has been in her family for generations. Passed down from her maternal great-grandmother, this heirloom was also worn by Nita Ambani at her own wedding.

She shared that the armlet will be handed over to her daughter Isha Ambani, and eventually to her granddaughter Aadiyashakti, symbolising the strength and legacy of generations of women in her family.

To complete her look, Nita Ambani wore a stunning necklace from Swadesh, an initiative to preserve traditional Indian handicrafts led by Nita Ambani's Reliance Foundation, with each panel encased in white gold and hand-painted to show divine scenes from the life of Lord Srinath -- a blend of spirituality and craftsmanship.

"Every detail of this ensemble tells a story of honouring the past, celebrating Indian craftsmanship, and reaffirming Mrs. Nita Ambani's commitment to preserving and promoting our cultural heritage," a post shared on Swadesh's official Instagram account stated.
