Just days after showcasing his Fall 2025 couture collection at Paris Haute Couture Week in the French capital earlier in July, celebrated Indian fashion designer Rahul Mishra shined on the runway yet again as he opened Hyundai India Couture Week (ICW) in New Delhi, on Tuesday, July 23.
Actor Tamannaah Bhatia turned showstopper for the designer, embodying the ethereal essence of his collection in not one, but two looks.
Titled ‘Becoming Love’, Mishra’s collection charted the transformative passage of love through seven stages described in Sufism – attraction, infatuation, surrender, reverence, devotion, obsession, and death.
“Love is more than a feeling; it is a state of being,” the show note mentioned by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) on Instagram read.

Tamannah Bhatia takes centre-stage
Tamannah Bhatia turned showstopper for Mishra, donning two exquisite looks from the collection.
In her first appearance, the Bollywood actor looked celestial in a hand-embroidered structured single-shoulder gown. Enveloped by beautiful floral motifs, the silhouette in pastel hues featured intricate embroidery and sequins. The rosy make-up and wet-hair look elevated the ensemble.

Yet again personifying ethereal beauty, the actor reappeared at the runway in a cosmos-inspired lehenga featuring nature-inspired motifs like the vast sky, flora and fauna. The outfit, which was studded with delicate embroidery and sequins, included a sleeveless halter-style blouse with a plunging neckline, a flowing lehenga skirt and a sheer dupatta. The ensemble highlighted Indian craftmanship and couture.
India Couture Week 2025 designers
With Mishra opening ICW 2025 with his celestial designs, the fashion extravaganza has a lot more in store with several Indian designers set to showcase their couture collections. The event, which commenced on July 23 will conclude on July 30.
Besides Mishra, collections by designers Isha Jajodia, Suneet Varma, Amit Aggarwal, Falguni Shane Peacock, Tarun Tahiliani, Manish Malhotra, Ritu Kumar, Shantnu Nikhil, Jayanti Reddy, Aisha Rao, Rimzim Dadu and JJ Valaya, and label Rohit Bal will be presented at ICW 2025, which is an initiative by FDCI.
