The Bawa Kitchen has opened its second dine-in restaurant in Mumbai with a new outlet in Chakala in Andheri East, following its first outpost in Khar, adding to yet another restaurant in the western suburb.

Food and ambiance

The 50-seater restaurant has been designed to reflect the warmth and vibrancy associated with Punjab through a contemporary setting. The space combines an inviting ambience with elements that add to its celebratory character, while the launch introduces guests to the spirit of Punjab through live dhol and turban tying.

At the heart of the offering is a menu featuring The Bawa Kitchen's signature dishes, including Ambarsariya Chole Bhature, Murgh Biryani, Dal Makhni Rice Bowl, TBK Special Sarso Da Saag and Bawa's OG Butter Chicken. Adding to the launch celebrations is a special ₹199 offer available for a limited time, giving diners another reason to experience the new Chakala outlet

Amid the craze about Mahjong in Mumbai, new cafe opens in Khar

This August, The Bawa Kitchen is yet another restaurant to open in Khar yet completely different. Building on the popularity of the game Mahjong in Mumbai, The Mahjong Club has been opened by Aspect Hospitality as the newest eatery in Khar, above Radio Bar.

Part cafe, part Mahjong destination and, most importantly, a social hub, the new eatery is taking one of the world's oldest and most inherently social games and giving it a new home in Mumbai.

Part cafe, part Mahjong destination and, most importantly, a social hub, the new eatery is taking one of the world's oldest and most inherently social games and giving it a new home in Mumbai.

At the heart of the concept is the centuries-old game of Mahjong - tactile, strategic, mentally stimulating and wonderfully social.

Experienced players can find their regular game. Beginners can learn through lessons and guided play. Younger players can discover the concentration and strategic thinking the game demands. Open play, tournaments and community events bring different players together and create the foundations of a real Mahjong community, but not without food.
