Mumbai is expected to experience a warm and humid day on Tuesday, with the maximum temperature likely to reach 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum settling around 27 degrees Celsius.
While partly cloudy skies and isolated light showers are forecast, the city is unlikely to see significant rainfall, offering little relief from the muggy weather conditions.
Tidal activity is expected to remain significant through the day. A high tide of 4.73 metres is forecast at 12.04 pm, while another high tide of 4.14 metres is expected at 11.54 pm.
The next low tide is likely at 6.08 pm with a height of 1.57 metres, followed by a low tide of 0.20 metres at 6 am on July 15.
Rainfall recorded between 8 am on July 13 and 8 am on July 14 remained negligible across Mumbai.
The city area received an average rainfall of 0.15 mm, while the eastern suburbs recorded 0.12 mm. The western suburbs received the least rainfall at 0.01 mm during the 24-hour period.
Despite subdued rainfall activity, weather officials have advised residents to remain updated on local forecasts as intermittent showers may occur.
Mumbai's seven lakes that supply water to the city have recorded a marginal decline in their combined storage levels, with the overall water stock dipping by 0.01 percentage points to 49.92 per cent of the total capacity, according to the latest data from the Hydraulic Engineer's Department at the Bhandup Complex. The slight drop comes amid a temporary pause in rainfall activity across the city and surrounding catchment areas.
The city collectively held 7,22,538 million litres (ML) of usable water at 6 am on Tuesday, July 14.
The city's total live storage capacity across all seven lakes stands at 14,47,363 ML.
Among the reservoirs, Vihar Lake remained at 100 per cent capacity with a storage of 27,698 ML, while Tulsi Lake was nearly full at 98.84 per cent, holding 7,953 ML of water.
According to the report, Vihar Lake began overflowing on July 7 at 9 pm, while Tulsi Lake started overflowing on July 7 at 11.43 pm.
