Coal India arm SECL vows to meet nation's energy needs as power demand hits record high

Coal India arm South Eastern Coalfields Ltd's (SECL) CMD Harish Duhan on Tuesday reiterated the company's commitment to fulfilling the nation's energy requirements as power demand hit record highs amid an intense spell of heatwave.
Duhan said during the ongoing financial year 2026-27, SECL has made the highest contribution of 26.86 million tonnes towards Coal India's production milestone of 100 million tonnes achieved so far.
