<a href="https://www.mid-day.com/business/business-news/article/crude-oil-futures-increase-069-per-cent-to-rs-7475-per-barrel-on-firm-spot-demand-23644042" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Crude oil prices</a> rose 0.63 per cent to Rs 7,774 per barrel in futures trade on Tuesday as participants increased their positions following firm demand in spot market.
On the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/business/business-news/article/multi-commodity-exchange-alerts-investors-against-fake-telegram-channel--23640273" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Multi Commodity Exchange,</a> crude oil for September delivery traded higher by Rs 49, or 0.63 per cent, at Rs 7,774 per barrel in 884 lots.
Analysts said higher bets by participants supported crude oil prices in futures trade.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was trading 0.12 per cent higher at USD 82.23 per barrel, while <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/business/business-news/article/crude-oil-prices-likely-to-remain-volatile-next-week-on-developments-around-the-strait-of-hormuz-23643810" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Brent crude</a> rose 0.07 per cent to USD 87.78 per barrel in New York.
