Gold and silver trade lower amid fresh US strikes on Iran

Gold and silver prices declined on Wednesday as escalating US-Iran tensions rattled global commodity markets. MCX gold slipped below Rs 1.45 lakh per 10 grams, while silver dropped over 0.8 per cent. Experts expect continued weakness as crude oil prices climbed sharply

Gold and silver prices traded lower on Wednesday amid rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East after the US military launched fresh strikes on Iran.
As reported by IANS, gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) for the August 5 contract opened at Rs 145,200 per 10 grams, down Rs 192 from the previous close of Rs 145,392.
