India's manufacturing sector accelerated in September to hit a seven-month high 55.1, buoyed by  new orders and output, reported news agency PTI.

The seasonally-adjusted HSBC India Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) increased by more than two index points in September, to 55.1 from 52.8 in August, reflecting the strongest improvement in the health of the sector in several months.
