<p><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/world-news/article/lg-distributes-ai-development-tool-to-all-divisions-18859183" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Consumer durable firm LG Electronics</a> India on Thursday said its net profit rose 25.66 per cent to Rs 489.34 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2026.</p>
<p>The company had reported a net profit of Rs 389.43 crore during the corresponding quarter last year, it said in a regulatory filing.</p>
<p>"Increased profitability was achieved despite elevated commodity prices, rupee depreciation and go-to-market investments to capture the upcoming festive season demand," it said in a statement.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Total income during the quarter under review was at Rs 7,465.60 crore, compared to Rs 6,253.81 crore in the June to September quarter last year.</p>
<p>Revenue from operations stood at Rs 7,380.04 crore during the reporting quarter, a 19.5 per cent increase, as against Rs 6,174.03 crore in the same quarter a year ago.</p>
<h2>Growth in volume and value across segments</h2>
<p>The company said this was its highest year-on-year growth since listing and a second consecutive quarter of double-digit growth.</p>
<p>LG Electronics India said the growth quality was balanced across volume and value, and across both mass and premium segments.&nbsp;</p>
<p>"Both businesses contributed strongly - Home Appliances &amp; Air Solution recorded its highest growth since listing, while Home Entertainment extended its run of double-digit growth to a third consecutive quarter on a high base. Television value market share reached a record high, and a fast-scaling export business complemented healthy domestic demand, reflecting growth that is broad-based and built to last," it said.</p>
<h2>Home appliances and air solutions segment</h2>
<p>LG Electronics India's revenue from <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/electronics-price-hike-acs-tvs-washing-machines-to-get-costlier-from-october-1-as-appliance-makers-raise-prices-check-details-here-23652122" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Home Appliance &amp; Air Solutions</a> segment was at Rs 4,771.69 crore during the reporting quarter as compared to Rs 3,947.85 crore in same quarter in the preceding year.</p>
<p>"Strong double-digit momentum ran across major categories, with washing machines, refrigerators and room air conditioners leading the charge, while dishwashers delivered breakout growth," it said.</p>
<h2>Home entertainment segment</h2>
<p>The company's Home Entertainment segment revenue expanded to Rs 2,608.35 crore during the quarter under review, from Rs 2,226.18 in the year ago period.</p>
<p>Televisions led the momentum as consumers upgraded to larger screens and offline market share scaled to an all-time high, widening LG's lead in the category, it said.</p>
<h2>Expansion into B2B segment</h2>
<p>"This performance reflects the broader strength of India's consumer durables industry, which continues to benefit from rising disposable incomes, growing aspiration for premium products and deepening penetration across metro and emerging markets," Hong Ju Jeon, Managing Director, LG Electronics India said.</p>
<p>"Moving beyond <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/business/business-news/article/consumer-electronics-brand-boats-fy-26-net-profit-rises-38-per-cent-to-rs-845-crore-23646747" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">consumer electronics</a>, we are expanding our footprint in the rapidly evolving B2B sector, by entering a new B2B vertical, Vehicle Solutions. Our foundational three-pillar strategy&mdash;Make-in-India, Make-for-India, and Make-India-Global&mdash;will continue driving our ambitious growth trajectory across domestic and export markets," he added.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The company said it will foray into Vehicle Solutions, In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI), and these products will be manufactured and supplied from LGE India&rsquo;s third plant at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh.</p>
<p>"This initiative will bring LG Korea's key global B2B automotive business, including automotive infotainment and telematics solutions, to India," it said.</p>
