Japanese brokerage firm Nomura on Tuesday said the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is likely to increase its key lending rate or repo rate by 25 basis points in both October and December policy review meetings, reported news agency PTI.
It, however, expects the consumption to decline and the inflationary pressures to moderate from February 2027, which may prompt the apex bank to ease the monetary policy tightening.
