At the newly announced price band of Rs 1,700-1,785 per share, the IPO is estimated to raise Rs 21,494-22,569 crore. This is significantly lower than the earlier estimate of around Rs 30,000 crore

The much-awaited initial public offering of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) has undergone several changes since the bourse filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) in June, with the most significant being the reduction in the issue size.
The bourse has cut the offer-for-sale (OFS) to 12.64 crore equity shares from 14.9 crore shares proposed in the DRHP, roughly a reduction of 15 per cent. Since the IPO is entirely an OFS, the cut in the number of shares directly brings down the overall issue size.
