The three-day meeting of the Reserve Bank of India's Monetary Policy Committee commenced on Monday with the RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra slated to announce the decision on August 5.

Economists and analysts believe the central bank will maintain a status quo and keep the key policy rate (repo rate) at 5.25 per cent.
