RBI penalises ACRE for management fee violations; imposes Rs 27.30 lakh fine

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed a monetary penalty of Rs 27.30 lakh on Asset Care & Reconstruction Enterprise Limited (ACRE) for non-compliance with regulatory requirements related to the charging of management fees. 

The central bank said the penalty was imposed through an order dated September 8, 2026, following its statutory inspection of ACRE, an asset reconstruction company (ARC), with reference to its financial position as of March 31, 2025.
