Sensex falls over 240 points, Nifty sheds 64 points amid elevated crude oil prices, FII outflows

The domestic equity benchmark indices extended their losses for the second straight day on Tuesday as elevated crude oil prices amid the escalating tensions in West Asia and foreign fund outflows made investors risk averse.
Market indices slide
The 30-share BSE Sensex slipped 242.65 points, or 0.33 per cent, to settle at 72,529.07. The 50-share NSE Nifty shed 64.05 points, or 0.28 per cent, to end at 22,716.20.
