Sensex rises over 100 points, Nifty gains as IT stocks outperform

Indian stock markets traded in a narrow range on Wednesday, with the Sensex gaining over 100 points and the Nifty advancing 30 points. Lower crude oil prices boosted investor sentiment, while IT, pharma and healthcare stocks led the gains despite concerns over a weak monsoon

Indian equity benchmarks traded in a narrow range on Wednesday morning for a second consecutive session amid a decline in crude oil prices.
According to IANS, Sensex was trading at 76,348.95, up over 100 points or 0.19 per cent in early deals, while Nifty was at 23,853.75, higher by 30 points or 0.12 per cent.
