The domestic benchmark indices extended their losses on Wednesday during early trade as surging crude prices continued to dampen investor sentiment.

The 30-share BSE Sensex tanked 562.18 points or 0.73 per cent to 76,907.93 in early deals. The 50-share Nifty too declined 95.90 points or 0.40 per cent to 24,095.80 in the early trade.
