<a href="https://www.mid-day.com/business/business-news/article/indusind-bank-stock-plunges-23-percent-to-52-week-low-after-derivatives-portfolio-discrepancies-23497932" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">IndusInd Bank</a> Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Rajiv Anand on Sunday said his name has been marked "unmapped" on the electoral roll and that he has been asked to appear for a hearing to avoid his name getting deleted from the voter list.
Anand added that he has been voting every election since he became eligible to vote and questioned why he should attend the hearing.
"I have been told my name is "unmapped" from the voting list. I have voted in every election ever since I have been eligible to vote. I hold a passport, PAN Card, voter ID card and Aadhar card. I am now being asked to appear for a hearing else my name will be deleted. Why should I?," Anand said in a social media post on X on Sunday.

Anand's comments come amid the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise to prepare and revise electoral rolls.
<h2>Over 2.06 crore electors excluded from draft electoral roll</h2>
As of August end, <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/maharashtra-sir-updates-over-2-06-crore-voters-excluded-from-draft-electoral-roll-after-maharashtra-sir-23647660" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">more than 2.06 crore electors</a>, accounting for 21.14 per cent of Maharashtra's previous voter base, have been excluded in the draft electoral roll following the SIR.
According to election officials, a total of 2,06,88,487 enumeration forms could not be collected.
The category includes voters who were untraceable or absent from their registered addresses, had died, moved to another residence, registered elsewhere or had duplicate entries.
It also includes people who declined to complete and submit their enumeration forms.
<h2>EC extends deadline for filing claims</h2>
The Election Commission (EC) had&nbsp; recently announced a slew of decisions for the ease of voters who have been issued notices, including doorstep collection of documents and extending deadlines in Delhi and Maharashtra, according to news agency PTI.
<a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/eci-extends-delhi-sir-claims-deadline-to-october-30-maharashtra-deadline-to-october-12-23652040" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">The EC extended the deadline for filing claims</a> and objections under the SIR process in Delhi to October 30, while Maharashtra it has been extended till October 12.
&ldquo;In case of any person to whom notice has been issued during the ongoing SIR, for being unmapped and logical discrepancies, BLOs (Booth Level Officers) will visit the homes of such persons for collection of documents and thereafter upload them on the ECINet, for decision by the RO. Such persons need not be called for hearing to ERO (Electoral Registration Officers)/AERO (Assistant Electoral Registration Officers) office,&rdquo; said the EC said in a statement on Saturday.&nbsp;
"Only in exceptional circumstances, as decided by the ERO, the hearing will be held preferably online. Any adult member of the family can be authorised by the elector to attend the hearing on their behalf, if required. Facilities for the online hearing to be strengthened," it added.
