Nifty falls for seventh day, Sensex loses over 325 points on rising crude oil prices

The 30-share BSE Sensex slumped 325.78 points, or 0.42 per cent, to settle at 76,909.68, extending its losses for the fourth day. The 50-share NSE Nifty, which has been on a downward trajectory, registered its seventh session of loss, and shed 76.60 points, or 0.32 per cent, to end at 24,078.30

Market benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty extended their losses on Wednesday as elevated crude oil prices amid geopolitical uncertainties made investors cautious.

The 30-share BSE Sensex slumped 325.78 points, or 0.42 per cent, to settle at 76,909.68, extending its losses for the fourth day. In the last four days, the benchmark has declined 1,170.28 points, or 1.49 per cent.
