<a href="https://www.mid-day.com/business/stock-market/article/sensex-nifty-trade-flat-in-early-deals-amid-elevated-crude-oil-prices-geopolitical-tensions-23655823" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">The domestic equity benchmark indices</a> rebounded to trade higher in the early deals on Wednesday tracking positive global cues and buying in IT stocks.
"In today's session market is opening on a positive note amid strong global cues," Pabitro Mukherjee, Deputy Vice President Research, Bajaj Broking said.
The 30-share BSE Sensex surged 800.58 points or 1.08 per cent at 74,653.48 in the initial trade. The 50-share Nifty soared 224.35 points or 0.98 per cent at 23,113.30 in the early trade.
<h2>Gainers and laggards in early trade</h2>
Among the 30 Sensex constituents, only four ended lower. Infosys, UltraTech Cement, Tata Consultancy Services, Reliance Industries, HCLTech and ICICI Bank were the major gainers. The shares of Infosys were trading 3.31 per cent higher, while that of <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/business/business-news/article/ultratech-cement-q2fy27-net-profit-rises-2127-per-cent-at-rs-150138-crore-23655882" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Aditya Birla Group firm UltraTech Cement</a> were up 2.70 per cent.&nbsp;
The stock of TCS gained 2.68 per cent, while the shares of Reliance Industries were trading 2.35 per cent higher, ahead of its subsidiary Jio Platforms' initial public offering (IPO).&nbsp;
Bajaj Finance, Bharat Electronics, Bajaj Finserv, and Trent were the only laggards in the early deals.&nbsp;
On Tuesday, the stock market was closed for trading on account of Dussehra. On Monday, the Sensex tanked 876.37 points, or 1.17 per cent, to settle at 73,852.90, while the Nifty slumped 257.20 points, or 1.11 per cent, to end at 22,888.95.
<h2>Global cues</h2>
According to Sachin Gupta, VP Technical Research at Choice Broking, investors will monitor the ongoing quarterly earnings season, crude oil movements and institutional fund flows for fresh direction, particularly amid the possibility of volatility around key index levels.&nbsp;
Brent crude, the global oil benchmark, rose 1.46 per cent to USD 110.38 per barrel, according to news agency PTI.
"With Brent crude prices and US bond yields remaining elevated, the market is likely to remain under pressure," V K Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist, Geojit Investments said.
"Since the two large laggard sectors, IT and banking, have performed well in Q2 and are attractively valued, further corrections in these sectors will be met with strong DII-led accumulation," he added.&nbsp;
<a href="https://www.mid-day.com/business/business-news/article/market-round-up-fiis-offload-equities-worth-rs-34970-crore-diis-buy-rs-33460-crore-of-equities-23653183" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net sellers</a> on Monday, offloading equities worth Rs 1,148.64 crore, according to the exchange data. Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) were net buyers, purchasing equities worth Rs 3,201.19 crore.
In Asian markets, South Korea's Kospi, Japan's 225 index quoted higher, while Shanghai's SSE Composite index and Hang Seng index traded lower.
